Circuit Tutor on Apps@UT

Apps@UT is a platform run by OIT that allows members of the UTK campus to run select software without having it installed locally on their computers. This is particularly helpful for software that requires special licensing or is only available for one operating system. More information can be found at https://oit.utk.edu/labs/app/

Access to Circuit Tutor is restricted to students currently enrolled in EECS courses wher the professor is using this software.

Step 1: Navigate to https://apps.utk.edu. You will be greeted with a login page. Enter your credentials and click “Log On”.

Step 2: On the next page, click “Use light version”.

Step 3: From the list, select “Circuit Tutor”, then click “Open”.

Step 4: Click “OK” on the error pop-up.

Step 5: Enter your login information an click “Login”.

You are unable to save transcripts when running Circuit Tutor via Apps@UT.

Circuit Tutor is also installed on the PCs in the Programming Clinic in Min Kao 416.

If you have a Mac or Linux device, you can also run Circuit Tutor by creating a local Windows 11 virtual machine on your computer. Licenses for Windows 11 can be obtained from OIT at https://oit.utk.edu/software-hardware/kivuto/
