VDI

The VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) lab provides remote access to virtual Windows 10 desktops. When you connect to the VDI lab, you will see a standard Windows 10 (not Windows Server) desktop screen with various software packages installed. Please note:

• See Connecting To The Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
• VDI Desktops reset after every use. This means that anything stored outside of your user profile will not be retained after you log off.
• Files in your user profile (e.g. in your Documents or Desktop folder) are retained across sessions. Please note, however, that these are not backed up and may be deleted at any time. Be sure to save all your files in appropriate cloud storage such as Microsoft OneDrive.
• Disconnected sessions time out after 2 hours.

Please note that all software on the lab systems is for academic purposes only. Bold numbers indicate a newer version of the software package.
