=====Activating PSCAD on the Remote Desktops=====
If you are opening PSCAD for the first time, you will find that it is not activated for your account. This is because PSCAD handles licensing on a per user basis, and you will need to activate the license for yourself. Please follow these instructions to activate your PSCAD license.

  - Open PSCAD
  - In the PSCAD drop down menu, select ''System Settings'':\\ {{:knowledge-base:windows-topics:pscad-01.png?800|}}\\
  - Under ''License Host'', enter pscad-lic.eecs.utk.edu, and select ''Apply'':\\ {{:knowledge-base:windows-topics:pscad-02.png?800|}}\\
  - In the ''Available License(s)'' drop-down, select ''Educational'', and click ''Activate'':\\ {{:knowledge-base:windows-topics:pscad_03.png?800|}}\\
  - Click ''OK''

Now, PSCAD should be licensed for you.
